This course is one of the core courses in the โ€œGIFT Whole-Person Coach Training Program,โ€ designed for coaches, pastors, missionaries, leaders, and anyone seeking a deeper understanding of mental health. One of the most urgently needed topics in modern churches and mission fields is mental health and crisis response. This course addresses mental health issues encountered in actual pastoral, missionary, and coaching settings, teaching a holistic approach that integrates clinical psychology, medicine, spirituality, and cultural perspectives.

    Learn about major mental disorders such as depression, anxiety, suicidal crisis, substance use disorders, and personality disorders, and acquire skills for early recognition, understanding, and crisis response.

    Covers practical approaches to mental health issues, personality disorders, trauma, and relational conflicts frequently encountered in pastoral, missionary, and coaching settings.
  • Medical Integration Perspective
    Examine psychosomatic disorders, the interaction between mental and physical health, and mental health from a brain and neuroscience perspective.

    Understand the mental health characteristics commonly seen in Korean and immigrant communities and the corresponding response methods.

This course is one of the required subjects in the โ€œGIFT Christian Holistic Coach Training Programโ€ and can be taken in the following two ways:

1. Register as a regular program student

This is the method of enrolling as a regular student at GIFT Whole Person Coaching Institute and systematically completing the entire program. The doors of GIFT Whole Person Coaching Institute are open to everyone, regardless of academic background.

2. Audit this course only

  • You may take this course individually without regular school enrollment.

  • However, the registration process and tuition fees are the same as for regular students, and auditors must also apply in advance.
